About Midwest Whitetail
2017/2018 Schedule of Shows
The 2017/2018 online show season will begin the week of August 21 and run until the season ends in each region. You can go back anytime and watch all the seasons from 2008 through 2016, if you like – they are all right there in the drop-down menus on the main navigation line of the site. There was a lot of action and drama in those first nine seasons.
We are chaning the regional format this year. The regions are: Great Plains: (NE, KS, MO, SD, ND and everything west), Great Lakes: (MI, MN, WI), Heartland: (IA, IL), East: (IN, OH, KY and the Northeastern U.S.), Southeast: (MS, AL, GA, TN, WV, VA, NC, SC, FL), Main Show (basically a small group of hunters scattered around the central part of the Midwest. I host the Main Show series).
But, instead of producing weekly shows for each region, we are going to produce daily video blogs for each team. This will give you many stories to follow this season. You can still find them on the regional pages. There is no specific schedule for the daily video blogs – when the guys are hunting or doing something deer-related, they will send us the footage and we will produce a video blog for that team – keeps the story moving.
The “Main Show” will come out on Monday mornings again and will also run throughout much of the off-season with episodes about whitetail related subjects we didn’t have time to cover during the season, in addition to themes such as shed hunting, food plot strategies, shooting tips, etc. Off-Season runs from mid-February through May each year, available on Monday mornings.
Midwest Whitetail is first and foremost an on-line hunting show that we produce as close to live as possible. You can only watch Midwest Whitetail and the daily video blogs on the internet, and unlike television, we produce the show during the season – sometimes within hours of the action. You can watch the shows right after the hunts occur. This format permits us to talk about timely issues such as changing weather patterns, current deer behavior, strategies to employ in the near future, etc. We try to take advantage of this format to help you stay one step ahead of the deer you are hunting and to introduce new products.
Join our e-mail reminder list if you want me to send you an e-mail when new shows are available on the site. I also include tips on what the deer are doing at each point in the season within the newsletter. We never spam.
We also produce a digital-only television show called “Chasing November”.
Chasing November is in its second season. It is more of a drama-based story of the season with lessons dropped in as part of the story. I really like the new series and hope you will too.
Please enjoy Midwest Whitetail Responsibly (don’t watch at work or you might get fired).
