2011 Wrap Up
Ironically I have already killed more deer in 2012 than I did in 2011.

The end is near
The deer I shot on November 5th is already back from the taxidermist. He makes an awesome addition to the trophy room.

On our first morning sit we had an encounter with a great looking main-frame six by six with split G-2's

November Struggles
I do believe the bigger bucks will be on their feet this week and looking for the remaining does that have not been bred and will be out chasing.

Mid November Report
Dad had a buck coming towards him, counted 10 points and took the shot. Mom's buck is definitely the biggest buck she has shot and it will make a beautiful european mount.

Bittersweet Success!
The arrow struck him hard and he bolted out of sight. I am very excited to have taken this deer, one of my biggest.

Prime Time!
Good luck to all of you that will be hunting the Minnesota gun opener this weekend!

Big plans for big bucks!
Sit all day if you can. It can be tough but it works. I have seen more mature bucks between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. than any other time of the day.

Preparing for the pre-rut
Over the course of the weekend I found out that even hunting an overpopulated park does not guarantee meat in the freezer. When the hunt concluded on Sunday evening I still had all three of my bonus permits in my pocket.

October Heat
Wow.... what I week I had bowhunting. I don't ever remember having so many encounters with whitetail deer this early in the season.
