Last week we started producing an exclusive series for the NRA's website: AmericanHunter.org. I have written for the American Hunter magazine for a long time so we decided to put together a video diary for their site. The series revolves around my quest to kill one of four bucks that live on our farm.
Each of these bucks has a completely different personality based on what I have learned from the years I have already spent hunting them, and the trail cam photos I have of these deer. One is here all the time, but only moves at night. One is here early in the fall then disappears, one is a daylight roamer that should be pretty easy to encounter and one is a big old beast that seems to be here only during the late season. Should be an interesting combination of strategies - and an interesting season. Aaron Warbritton, one of the interns at the office, is producing the series and I am sure he will do a great job. Obviously, Aaron has some skills with the editing equipment and the video camera.
As I said, it is a weekly diary of my quest for one of these bucks. The series started last week. You can check out the first installment: Episode One: The Introduction and hopefully you will find it interesting. I am not 100% sure which day it will be going up on the site each week, but it will be early in the week. I am sure we will get into a pattern as we go along.
The photo at the right shows what these four bucks looked like last year.
The series is called "Whitetail Season". Please check it out and if you like it, please tell your friends. If the show gets popular enough I suspect it could grow into a more serious production next year.
Have a great day!
