We are very excited to get going with the 2011 season of Midwest Whitetail Illinois. Similar to last year, we will be having the Pro Staff guys giving regular updates about what is going on in the deer woods, so that you have something to compare to and have something to help you figure out the deer in the areas that you hunt. We'll bring you a new episode every Sunday from here on out, with action from all over the Land of Lincoln, so be sure to keep checking in and follow the stories all season long.

Cooler, fall like temps and rain are here right now .We've been hanging new stand setups in addition to retightening the straps on old ones, maintaining summer food plots and checking our trail cameras regularly. We have some new deer showing up on the cameras that are now tops on our 2011 hit list. I am ready to try to take one of them and bring some great stories to the show. Now we need to start hitting the fields trying to get some good velvet footage of the bucks we will be chasing this fall.
Todd and I will be joining N.IL. Prostaffers Scott Reinmann and Paul Marshall on a Iowa bow hunt this year. Todd and Paul have made one 400 mile trip to set stands and trail cams so far and we are looking forward to see what the cameras will show.
Paul ,Scott and Todd have planted Frigid Forage products and are hoping that they can produce some deer from these areas. Scott put in a pond this year!!! What a good year to do that.
I know both Paul and Scott have been working on their hunting shacks. Paul and I hunted in 6 below zero temps last year trying to get one his hit list bucks “Tank”. After that he said we are going to be warm this year. You should see the work he has put into it…WOW!!!
