Lane Bartsh is 25 years old, currently living in Plainview, a small town in southeastern Minnesota with his wife Samantha, daughter Autumn '5' and son Nolan '1'. Lane is currently working at Dairyland Equipment installing milking parlors. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, hunting, fishing and obviously bow hunting.
Lane has been hunting since he was 12 years old and he picked up a stick and string when he was 14 years old. In the past few years, Lane has started taking bow hunting more seriously, and working to improve on the little things, with the hope of harvesting mature deer on film. He will be hunting primarily in Wabasha and Winona counties, using the hills and valleys to his benefit. Lane will be hunting for Midwest Whitetail Minnesota along with Benji Schneider and Brent Berning. The three have been hunting together for quite some time and you will be seeing some great action this season.
Brent Berning is 26 years old living in Rochester, MN with his fiancée Katie and their cat Remmie. After graduating from Plainview High School in 2004, he worked as a carpenter for 6 years and has been making custom cabinets for the last four years at Speeding Cabinets.
Ever since he shot his first deer with a bow at 14 years old, he has been obsessed with harvesting bigger and better bucks every year. He is now in his seventh year of filming hunts and has several great deer under his belt. Brent along with hunting partners Lane Bartsh and Benji Schneider, are ready to take their hunting to a whole new level with Midwest Whitetail Minnesota.
Benji Schneider is 26 years old living in Plainview, MN with his beautiful wife Sarah and their black lab Drake. Benji and Sarah will soon be adding to their family as they are expecting their first child in October. Benji has been working in road construction with Rochester Sand and Gravel for the past four years. When the conditions are not fit to chase whitetails, he loads up Drake and heads for the river for some fast action duck hunting.
Deer hunting has been a part of Benji’s life for as long as he can remember. From his brother Dan teaching him how to shoot a gun, to practicing for hours shooting his bow so he doesn’t miss that one shot. Benji has many great memories of waking up before first light to take the long hike to the perfect stand, as well as spending countless hours in the field with his best hunting buddies Brent Berning and Lane Bartsh.
Benji’s wife tells him that he has OCHD "obsessive compulsive hunting disorder", and she is absolutely, 100%, correct. Chasing whitetails and having fun outdoors is simply Benji’s way of life, and he would not have it any other way. Benji is excited that he can share his life’s passion for hunting and filming whitetails with you, the viewers, through Midwest Whitetail Minnesota.
