Mike "sawz" Sawezyszyn , 28 yrs old and resides in eighty four Pa which is in the SW corner of Pa. A home remodeling contractor also pursuing a career in the timber industry is currently conducting their own timber harvest on their 170 acre Greene county Pa family farm, which they have been practicing QDMA since 2002. They have owned the property since 1972 when this part of Pa didn't have many whitetails at all. Eventually he wants to harvest timber while providing optimum whitetail habitat on other future properties. Has been an outdoors man as long as he can remember. He has hunted for the last 17 years in which he has hunted Pa,West Virginia, Ohio, and Missouri. Over the last 10 years archery hunting has been a way of life. While taking some fine Pa bow bucks, in which 3 gross over the 125" mark, and now taking on the challenge of doing it in front of a camera. Other activities include shed hunting, trail cam photography, pre and post season scouting, and competes in bass tournaments in the summers.
My family and I have seen first hand how a deer heard of such low numbers in the 1970's can flourish and be one of the best counties in the state to harvest a pope&young buck in the 2000's , and the years to come are just getting better!
Ryan Scalise, avid bow hunter/outdoors man and husband to his wife Kristen, have 2 daughters, Mia and Adelyn. He also lives on a small farm in SW Pa. He has been hunting for 17 yrs. He has hunted Pa, West Virginia, Ohio, Nebraska and Missouri. Over the years he has taken some fine bucks which include 2 that break the 130 mark and 1 that goes 140, all with a bow. Aside from his family Ryan lives to bow hunt. He also shed hunts along with numerous other outdoor activities. For years and years many Pa hunters would go all year without seeing a 100" 2 yr old wall hanger, they were once called, now it seems they are a dime a dozen. a little management goes a long way.
2011 Hit List
“Typical 10” - is a Pa 3 possibly 4 yr old deer. We call him typical 10 because he has short g4's which is typical for my Greene county farm. He should be mid 130.
“Big7”- We have 3 yrs of pictures and he hasn't put on the inches we would've liked to see. He's a Pa 5 year old now that may make the high 130 if not 140 considering his body is huge the antlers may be deceivingly bigger.
“Buckeye”
“The stud 10” -
Is a Pa 4 year old buck we have one shed to we think from last year, he could go 140 or better.
"Wide 9"
