Between church, work, family, and just life in general it has been tough to get out and hunt the first couple weeks of bow season. I keep reminding myself it is a long season and I need to simply pace myself. I must hunt smart during the early season to ensure success when things really begin to heat up as we push toward the rut.

Team Walerczak has been on stand twice since the opening day of the bow season. Will and I had a good encounter with a mature doe opening day during the evening hunt. The doe was 35 yards away on the adjoining property, so we were unable to take a shot at her. Will did a great job running the camera though for his first assignment in a tree stand set as cameraman.

This week I am gearing up to hunt the two day muzzle loader season on the property in Kentucky. I will be running camera for my close friend Brian A.K.A. "Z" on Saturday, October 15th. If all goes well for Z during the morning hunt we may get Will or Anna down to the property for an evening hunt over the Frigid Forage Big-n-Beasty food plot which is doing AWESOME!

Plan of Action this week:
1. Hang two stand sets on the Kentucky property early in the week.
2. Set up a trial camera on the Kentucky property overlooking our micro-plot
3. Finish dialing in the TC Impact at 100 grains with a 250 grain schockwave for Brian to use on October 15th.
4. Possibly bow hunt one of our Indiana properties midweek.
5. Enjoy time in God's great outdoors!

Blessings on your week and always remember to hunt safe, shoot straight, and enjoy your time in God's great outdoors!
