20090805104810995.jpgAustin Boersema grew up on a farm in the country and has always felt more at home being outdoors.  His dad got him started in hunting and fishing when he was very young and he's been hooked ever since.  Austin started bowhunting at age 12 and went two years before ever having a deer come within range.  He killed his first buck, an 8-point, on the opening day of his first gun season. Austin's passion for whitetails has grown every year and deer hunting has become a year-round passion for him and his friends.  Over the past few years Austin and his buddies started to get seriously into the video end of things and have been  laying down footage for several seasons.

Austin's Hit List

Austin lives in Zeeland and will spend most of his hunting time in the woods near his home. Austin will hunt and tape with Todd Bowen and the two share the same hit list.  The following words are Austin's.

20090805110401107.jpg"UNI-BEAM" is a buck we caught on trail camera last year and he had great potential as a 1.5-year-old buck not to mention a very identifiable rack with that uni-brow look to his beams. We think he made it through '08 and hope to see him in '09. Is he a shooter? We'll just have to wait and see.

20090805110327333.jpg"CURLY":We caught this good-looking 2.5-year-old buck on trail cam several times in January and February so we know he's around this fall. We haven't spotted him yet but there's no doubt he's out there. He lives in an area that's thick and covered in corn which made preseason scouting tough. But he's on the list and he'll be a good one.

20090805110352386.jpg"SUPER 8": We've captured one photo of this buck but just can't seem to find him on his feet in daylight in any of the surrounding fields. He looks to be an 8-point with great brow tines. A definite shooter for our area.

20090805110345663.jpg"HIGH BROW" is an awesome buck with killer brow tines. There will be little doubt which buck this is when he steps out. Great brows, good mass, good frame. A solid deer that's definitely worthy of the list.

20090805110349797.jpg"LUCKY 7"Another good buck with exceptional brow tines. Definitely a genetic trait for this area. He looks to be a 7-point, but that won't save him from getting a carbon injection from the Hoyt.
