The big bucks have started to get on their feet during daylight hours here in South West PA. My time on stand this past weekend and the afternoon sits the beginning of this week were a real let down considering we had some really cool

weather and I expected that would have the deer on their feet. It wasn't until yesterday afternoon that I could tell the action was starting to pick up. My buddy, and fellow prostaffer Kurt Roberts, hunted "The Farm" yesterday morning and saw 7 bucks making their rounds well into the day. I met him for the afternoon hunt at the same property after I got off of work. We saw 5 more bucks while on stand...2 of the bucks were hit listers. We got a look at Highbrows bumping some does around in a field about 200 yards from us and we got a second look at Juggernaught for this season. Juggernaught was on the trail of a doe that had been pushed by our stand by a small spike about five minutes earlier. He was close...like 5 yards close...but he came in and moved through a spot that never offered me a shot. I'm anxious to see how the last week of the PA archery season will pan out for us. Expectations are high!
