Here is the G5 Buck in all his glory. He was actually bigger than I thought he was. He is a truly awesome buck. We'll bring you the entire hunt Monday on the Main Show.
Now I am out of tags , so I have no choice but to stay in my office and work. I am sure that I will spend some time filming other hunters and will try to kill a few more does (I still have several doe tags). But I can't shoot another buck until the late muzzleloader season when I can hunt with either a muzzleloader or a bow.
There aren't a lot of deer on the farm, but I believe there are a couple of big ones left, so maybe I can connect on another mature buck before it is all over. What a season - unbelievable.
We took some photos of the buck today. Greg Clements shot the images and Sam Soholt helped out by holding the reflector. I think the images turned out really well. I have included a sample shot here.
Starting tomorrow, the local staff members and employees are going to bring you daily video blogs in this space. It will follow the same format - keeping up with what the deer are doing, but it will be them instead of me. I'll enjoy watching the blogs right along with you.
I hope you will keep watching because I am sure the daily episodes will be enjoyable and educational. I can't wait to see them.
