Greetings from Southern Indiana,

Food, food, food, and more food is on my mind! No not from Thanksgiving or the holiday meals, but food is what deer want right now. We have seen evidence of this over the past week or so here in Southern Indiana. Last night before dark I had four does in my side yard eating on some clover. Last night before I went to bed there were 8 does in the side yard eaing clover. I have also had more deer sightings in fields the last hour or so of the day now, something I was not seeing two weeks ago. With the peak of the rut an after thought and cold temperatures now a reality the deer simply want to eat! I have been looking foward to this all year!!!!!

So that leads to our plan of action for Saturday December 10th, 2011. Will and I will be heading down to Kentucky to hunt over our Frigid Forage food plots. The smaller of the two plots has been hammered over the past week or so. The deer are actually beginning to dig up the turnips already. So the plan is simple, we will sit over food for both the morning and evening hunts. We will sit as long as we can only possibly coming out to relocate to the big food plot for the evening hunt. Food sources will be key for us the rest of the whitetail season.

Hopefully we will add some meat to the freezer and maybe even be blessed enough to harvest a large mature buck who comes to our beautiful food plot to fill his belly!

Hunt safe, shoot straight, and enjoy God's wonderful creation!

Blessings,

Paul
