Jon Bauer
lives in Northwest Iowa with his wife Dana and their two children. His oldest son Garrett(7) has high hopes of shooting his first deer with a bow after shooting his first buck last year with a muzzle loader. Jon's youngest son James(2)wishes he was one of the big boys. Jon starts his spring off looking for deer sheds and chasing turkeys in Kansas and Iowa until it is time for spring food plots. By mid-summer you will find him chasing big game fish in the Gulf of Mexico and walleye in Iowa. Come the tail end of August it’s time for trail cameras, fall food plots, scouting and big antlers. Jon hopes to get his wife’s hunt on film this year. Since Jon forgot to hit the record button for her first deer ever last year. You will find Jon, Dana and Garrett hunting on private and public ground. Jon believes the key to success is food plots, cold fronts and getting on stand early.

"Big Daddy"
That’s right Big Daddy is back and he is going to be the #1 deer I will be going after. I have seen this deer for the last 3 years. I am going to put him in the 160s.
"Elvis "
This deer showed up 2 years ago and he loves to have his picture taken. He is a very tall main frame 10 pointer with some nice mass. Elvis always seems to walk in front of the trail cameras, but will he be smart enough to avoid me come October...you'll have to wait and see.
"The Ghost"
We have only seen this deer from the cabin until 3days ago. This big 8 point hates to have his picture taken . He is going to be in the top 3.
"Crab"
This deer just showed up. He is great looking deer. I would put him in the 130s. Garrett really likes this deer. We hope to see him youth season.
"Skyscraper"
We saw this deer a few times last year. He has doubled in size. My wife Dana is putting this deer as her # 1 deer.
"Lucky Buck"
"Big Stick"

I have this big guys shed and all most past it thinking it was a stick. The picture is not the best, but I know the deer on this farm and it is him.
"The Roos"
The kangaroos – This will be Garrets first year with a bow. If a nice doe comes by he is going to let his arrow fly. These two are definitely on the hit list for Garret’s first bow kill.
