Jesse and Travis' 2011 Hit List
"Crazy Horn" -He is our number one hit list buck. We are not sure how many points he actually has, thus our Dad named him "Crazy Horn." We believe his left brow almost looks like a double inside beam, with a kicker. His other brow has lots of character as well. The end of July I doctored a licking branch with some preorbital gland scent and was able to catch him checking this community licking branch out early the following morning. He's been spotted running with Poser for most of the summer. We're sure Poser will lose the battle this fall, hopefully we can catch ole Crazy Horn on his feet in the daylight this fall. The third attached pic is of him.
"Barry's Buck" -He was on our 2010 list. He's a nice 8 that we've seen hanging around the farm house most of the past two summers. The farmer, Barry, has watched this buck skirt his farmhouse many summer mornings. We just acquired permission from a neighbor to access our property at the southern end of our lease this year. We're hoping this will allow us to sneak in the back door and set up on his feed to bed early season pattern. The first attached picture is of him.
"Poser"-He's a wide 7 point that loves the camera, thus the name "Poser." We have several pics of this buck from different locations on the farm. We're hoping he sticks around the farm this fall.
"Slim Shady" -We've watched Slim Shady hit the soybean fields this summer, but he was eluvise to our trail cameras. We finally captured a good picture of him the end of August. We've committed to staying out of his bedding area this fall and hope to catch him working a staging area this fall. He's at the top of our hit list.
Jesse and Travis' 2010 Hit List
"Browny"
"Barry’s Buck"
We named this deer after the farmer who regularly sees him running on our lease. He’s a great 8 point that we also have trail cam footage of the past two years. He’s been spotted regularly with another hit list buck we call Deuce. They are two bucks we hope to see early in the season.
"Deuce"
A very good looking 2 year old (thus the name Deuce). Deuce is a great indicator how the health of the local herd is improving. He’s a nice 8 point that will test us if he presents an opportunity. This buck is the one on the left of the picture.
"Tough Guy"
A wide 6 point, he was last seen sparring with Browny on a trail cam. The past few years there’s always been a nice 6 point running in our area, and this year he’s the one that we would take. If he wants to tangle with Browny he has to be a tough guy.
"Pretty Boy"
We had filmed this buck with Browny last year in late summer as a 3 ½. This year he’s eluded the trail cam, but has been spotted a few times in the beans. He’s now a very large 10 point. We hope there’s enough room for him and Browny to hang around this year.
"The Imposter"
This buck looks very similar to Browny. However, he’s a little smaller, but still a stud of a deer. His brows are also very impressive.
Lancaster County Boys' 2009 Hit List
The following words are Jesse Althouse's.
“PRETTY BOY”: This buck is a nice 8-pointer that would look mighty good up on the wall. We have been fortunate to get some pretty daylight footage of this deer with a few other bucks.
The following words are from Jesse:

"THE CABIN BUCK": He's left a lot of sign around my cabin (last year), even some within 30 yards of the cabin. We didn't think he made it thru the season until now, he's a solid 8 that could be a 4 1/2 year old.

"SPANKY": He has a lot of potential. I am going to have my dad set up on this buck in hopes that he gets some action.
“TAG ALONG”: This buck got his name because just about everytime we have spotted "Pretty Boy", this buck is tagging along with him. You can see him at the end of the above video featuring "Pretty Boy".
“BROWNY”: Browny will be an awesome deer to hunt this season but may be a little difficult due to his old age.
