20090820130229618.jpg Michael Ewing is an avid outdoorsman, whether he is deer hunting or bass fishing he can always be found in the outdoors. Michael is a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University. He is a resident of Holmes County, Ohio but has spent the summer of 2010 interning in Morgan County which has given him plenty of time to scout some great bucks. While not hunting and fishing, Michael is also passionate about coaching Track and Field.  With hunting properties in Holmes, Morgan and Licking Counties he always has a great opportunity to take down a large Ohio whitetail. The 2010 deer season looks to be a very promising with a number of good bucks on the hit list.

Eddie Pennington is life long hunter returning along with long time hunting buddy Mike Ewing. He will be scouting out whitetails in several area's of the Buckeye State. A resident of Eastern Licking County he hunts properties in Licking, Morgan, and Holmes Counties.
All of Eddie's hit list bucks are MIA as of right now, but there is no evidence they didn't make it through the previous hunting season. A pair of close calls with the Hightower buck put it back near the top of the hit list this year. Junkyard and the King Freak were not seen after the start of last hunting season . Trail camera photos this summer and video scouting may bring the evidence needed to determine if they are still around or if there are any new big bucks on the properties. Check back frequently to see if he posts any big boys to his Hit List!

Michael & Eddie's 2010 Hit List

"The King Freak"

A great buck with lots of character. We first saw this buck from a long distance and knew he was a great buck. Over the next few weeks we began seeing this buck often and we were able to get some great footage of him. As of mid-August he is a regular in our favorite alfalfa field. This is an old mature buck that has become the number one on our hit list. We cannot wait to get in the woods and go after this great buck.

"Foggy Ghost Mossy Horns"

Foggy Ghost Mossy Horns is  great ten point filmed one evening in the fog right after a thunderstorm. When he first walked out of the fog he stood out from all the other deer in the field. This buck was filmed in mid-July and we expect he is even bigger now. You can bet that we will spend many hours in the woods going after this great buck.

"Hang Ten"

Another great ten point on the hit list. We first filmed this buck in late June and could tell he was going to be great. We then filmed and got trail camera pictures of him again in early July. He had grown quite a bit by that time. The next time we filmed him was in mid-July in the fog the same night as Foggy Ghost. He had again grown a lot since we had seen him last. He is not the biggest buck on the hit list but he will not be passed up if we see him.

Foggy Ghost and Hang 10 are seen together in this video.  Foggy is the left of the two center bucks.

"Hightower"

A buck from last years hit list Hightower is a giant eight point. Last year he was Tines but one look at his trail camera picture and you can see why we changed his name. What he lacks in width he makes up for in tine length. The pictures of him came from right in front of Eddie's favorite tree, and he has dreamed about this buck every  night since we got the pictures.  Let's hope we can make Eddie's dreams come true.

Michael and Eddie's 2009 Hit List

  20090820130233144.jpg"GOLIATH"

This is a large buck that we have been hunting for the past two seasons. The trail camera picture is from last summer but he was able to elude us all last hunting season. This summer we have got some good velvet footage of him. He has increased his tine length a bit and by the looks of the video has a very symmetrical set of antlers. Goliath is the number one buck on our hit list for obvious reasons.

"NASTY N8": This is a big-bodied, wide-rack 8-point that we filmed the same night as Goliath in early August. The first thing you notice when you see this deer is just how wide he is. We have no previous history with this buck and hope that he stays in the area once the season starts.
