Paul Lauer lives in Nisswa, MN with his two sons Alec and Brandon.

John Lauer lives in Nisswa, MN with his wife Sarah and their two children Caleb and Ashley.

In the Lauer family whitetail hunting is a way of life. They hunt primarily on private ground, but have some good public spots as well. The terrain they will be hunting consists of agriculture, big woods and some residental areas. They also enjoy traveling to other states to hunt such as Iowa, North and South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The Lauers love chasing big mature bucks, but also have a passion for proper heard managment by taking does and managment bucks.

Lauer Team 2011 Hit List

"G-3 Buck"

20110919210319237.jpg

This buck showed up infront of our cameras on a new piece of ground we accuired in the off season. He got his name because of the unique split on his G3. He is atleast 4 1/2 years old and we believe he will score in the 160s'. The G3 buck is at the top of our hit list and one we will be keeping close tabs on.

"Club Buck"

This buck is absolutely awesome. He is on the same piece of ground as the G3 buck and got his name because or the unique club like beam that shoots straight up off his head.We are not sure what he will score, but we do know that he is a true trophy and one we would love to put our tag on. We believe this buck to be atleast 5 1/2 years old and one that we will be after hard.

Lauer Team 2010 Hit List

"Brutus"

John took Brutus in late season while hunting next to a standing corn field. His brother Paul filmed this great hunt and had a close encounter with "Brutus" the evening before while John was running the camera.

Team Lauer's 2009 Hit List

20090923103619824.jpg"THE BIG NON-TYPICAL": We simply call him this because he is the only non typical we have on our '09 hit list. John had a great encounter with this buck the week before the Minnesota rifle season last year. He saw him nose-down, chasing a doe through the brush at sixty yards. John threw every thing he could at this deer, (Grunted ,rattled, and snort-wheezed) but nothing would turn him. The big non-typical was intent on the doe, and there was nothing John could do but watch him get away.

"PERFECTO": The buck is called "Perfecto" because he is everything we would want in a deer. He has mass, height, width, stickers, and a split G2! Paul had a very close encounter with this buck last seaon, he came to full draw on this animal at 15 yards. To his misfortune "Perfecto" looked up in the tree, and bolted! We have been chasing him ever since.

"FEARLESS": This buck gets his name because he was brave enough to stand and eat fifteen yards from our vehicle. We have observed him entering a hay field we recently gained permission to hunt this season.

"MATT AND ERIK": The reason we named them this, is because our fellow Minnesota Pro Staffers filmed these two deer on a field we hunt. We figured naming the deer after them was the least we could do. The fatter one is Matt, and the other is Erik. Sorry guys, we thought it was funny!

"GREAT EIGHT": This buck is just an awesome eight-pointer. This deer recently showed up on the same field as "Matt and Erik"  This is a deer we don't have any history with, but we will definatley be looking for him this fall.
