20090902101420646.jpgAndy Baker is 20 years old and lives in Mound , Mn. He was first intorduced to hunting by his dad (Todd Baker). Listening to his father's stories and getting to see the success that his dad had is what  got Andy hooked. Andy has been hunting since he was 6 years old. He started out with waterfowl and upland birds and then when he became old enough he started hunting whitetails. He is very fortunate that he grew up in a hunting environment and that he has friends and family that love the outdoors as much as him. He is a very passionate hunter who enjoys getting out into the timber and watching the woods come alive. Andy's other passions are turkey hunting and fishing with his buddies any chance he gets. Outside of hunting Andy enjoys spending time with friends and family. This year Andy is going to be hunting the West Metro in Minnesota as well as the Brainerd area and Wisconsin in between Siren and Fredrick. Andy is looking forward to this season and all the new experiences and challenges the will face in this upcoming season ahead of him.

Andy's Hit List

The following words are Andy's.

"LOPSIDE": "Lopside" is the number one deer on my hit list this year. This year he is going to be a 5 1/2 year old.  We don't have any pictures of him yet, but if he follows in the footsteps of the one that my dad shot 3 years ago, he will be invisible this year on trail camera but he will blow into a GIANT come fall - when I hope he shows up regularly.

"MOON BUCK": The "Moon Buck" is second on my hit list because, to me, he is a great symmetrical buck. That is not something that we see very much around our area. He looks to be a 4 1/2 year old this year and for sure I would put an arrow through this monster come fall.

WHACKY RACK”: To me, “Whacky Rack” is a trophy because he is a non-typical and in our area that is rare.  He has a 5 pt side and a cowhorn spike on the other.  He would be a great buck to take out of the herd so that his genetics do not get passed around.

THE BIG SURPRISE”:  He is a deer that we have not filmed. However, we do have one trail camera picture of him and he looks like a Texas deer that is very unique. You can tell that he has started a bunch of sticker points so it will be interesting to see what he looks like when he is full grown this fall.

TOWER and SHORTY”:  They are both 8 pointers and I don’t think that I could pick between the two of them if they came in at the same time. They are both very wide and have good mass and would be great trophies
