Adam Rice was born and raised in southwest Missouri, where he began deer hunting at age 9. During the last 15 years, Adam missed only one deer season because the U.S. Army sent him to Iraq for 13 months.
Upon his return to the United States, Adam applied for a job with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Adam was accepted into the Patrol Academy and graduated in July, 2006. Upon completion, he was located in northwest Missouri, where he lives with his wife, Jessica, and daughter, Alli. Adam quickly realized the potential to harvest large whitetails in his new location. In the last three years, Adam has harvested several whitetails in excess of 150 inches. Adam is fortunate enough to be able to hunt many of the days in the long Missouri bow season as he gets a lot of interaction with Missouri whitetails.
Adam’s Hit List
The following words are Adam's.
"SLICK": This buck just popped up on my radar, I didn't get any footage of him last year. He seems to be a little wary, as I've only got one set of pictures of him so far. He looks like he might still be a little young, but he is a possible. I can't wait to get in the stand and take a closer look at him.
"DOMINANT ONES": I named this buck "Dominant Ones" due to his G'1s being his longest tines. I observed this buck several times last year and thought he needed just one more year to become a shooter. I finally snapped a few photos of him this year and I think he is ready.
"POPS": This last buck is one I have seen on this farm for several years, but I have never been able to seal the deal. I would like to harvest him this year, because he is beginning to slide down hill on his antler growth. He is not the biggest buck I have seen on this farm, but he has been a worthy opponent and I would like one more chance.
