Kaleigh Schlipf lives in central Illinois and will be trading off hunting and filming with her brother Jeremy Schlipf. She works as an Occupational Therapy Assistant at a home for adults with special needs. Kaleigh loves her time spent outdoors in God’s creation whether it’s riding her horses or in a deer stand.
Jeremy Schlipf is a farmer and ownner of an automotive repair shop. He lives in central Illinois with his wife Rachel and their one year old son Levi. Rachel also enjoys hunting and may appear as a guest on the show. Jeremy does most of his hunting in central Illinois where there is a lot of agriculture and relatively small timber. The combination of food and genetics can lead to some very nice bucks.
Kaleigh and Jeremy's 2010 Hit List
"Bruiser"
***Taken by Joe Metz during youth season with Jeremy Schlipf filming.
"Crazy Kernel"
"Ground Crew"
This buck is a solid 8 point that is living in a corn field along side of a grass runway that the farmer uses for his airplane. We hope to get on this buck early in the season if the corn is still standing.
Jeremy and Kaleigh's 2009 Hit List
"TANK": Jeremy first encountered this buck last year in September when he got trail cam pictures of him. He was a mature deer that probably would have scored 140+. Jeremy had several encounters with "Tank" but never close enough for a shot. "Tank" has avoided the cameras so far this summer. However, last year he didn’t show up till later so stay tuned for more pictures later. Jeremy will be hunting this buck on a 10 acre patch of timber surrounded by soybeans on two sides.
"THE EIGHT": This buck showed up 2 years ago while Jeremy was hunting during the late doe only season. Then again last season "The Eight" showed up regularly out in a winter wheat field, he was 135+ then. This summer Jeremy filmed a short clip of this buck out in a soybean field and hopes that he will stay as regular to the area as he was last season. Jeremy will be hunting "The Eight" in some thick timber with corn and soybeans along 1 side.
“CRAZY KERNEL”: This buck has haunted Kaleigh’s dreams for the past 10 months after a close encounter in which the arrow sailed clean over his back (buck fever). Kaleigh’s keeping her eyes peeled for this tall, uniquely-racked buck and hopefully her “trusty” brother will be there to help calm the buck fever. "Crazy Kernel" was in the 140’s last year and has been avoiding the cameras this year. He has a large home range, but she’s hoping to catch this buck in a staging area during the rut.
"ROAD KILL": This buck made an appearance this summer and has taken its spot on the hit list after appearing to have spent a little too much time on the road. This buck will maybe score in the 120’s but may save us a little money in the repair shop.
