20091001140815727.jpgChad Montalbano grew up in SE Wisconsin hunting deer and turkeys on local farms and public hunting land.  He currently resides just outside Milwaukee and works as an outside sales rep selling commercial doors and hardware.   While nearing 20 years in bow hunting, Chad owes most of his success to his step-father Gary Paulsen who introduced him to this great sport of bow hunting.  Also, Ben and Zach Schlueter – the producers of the Midwest Whitetail Wisconsin for sharing many helpful tips and success stories over the years.  This season is sure to be a great one with many great bucks being seen on video and trail cameras.

Chad's Hit List

Chad’s main focus is on an old, main frame 10 dubbed the name "Lucky".  "Lucky" got his name because he was lucky (or smart enough) not to come into the grunt call during the 2006 season.  Another deer called the “Chili Buck” wasn’t so lucky (see below) during that same evening hunt.  “Chili Buck” came to a grunt tube in search of a fight, maybe thinking it was "Lucky".

The following words are from Chad:

"LUCKY": He was sighted once in 2008 and since has been virtually nocturnal or vacated the area.  We figure by last years sighting that he may be a 170 class 12 or 14.  With the cameras out we hope he turns up and gives us hope that’s he’s still around!
