What’s been going on In Minnesota?

What’s been going on In Minnesota? A lot has been going on in Minnesota. Let me start by talking about our hunting, working and life schedule. It has been non-stop. This last weekend it started with an evening hunt. I hunted Friday evening, was out late tracking a deer and then it was home to bed. I woke up at 6am the next day to go to work and was off at 3 and back in the woods. After that I worked an over night, slept half the day on Sunday, worked again and then hunted all day on Monday. Now I spend a day editing with Charlie and putting the show together for Wednesday morning. Things have been happening fast and it keeps going. The deer have also been moving fast and usually one step ahead or behind us.

The state has been slow all around lately. Last week news broke of a few nice deer being taken from different areas but none of our guys were the lucky hunter. Close calls have been the name of the game. I guess that is a good sign as we are all in the right area just not dialed in enough to close the door on some of these deer. My biggest fear is that the deer will begin to fall like dominoes in the next few weeks as the pre-rut and rut get into full gear. With that much action we may be bringing two shows a week which really isn’t a bad problem to have.

I guess the best thing about the show is that it is real and honest. We can’t bait and we have no fences keeping our deer confined. We are in the wild woods of Minnesota hard after our deer. Wind, rain, snow, heat and cold…all in the first month of the season. Welcome to Minnesota!

Keep checking back every week to see how our season progress’s!
