Patton Update

10/30 - I Killed the buck in the attached pic...157" 9 pointer at least 4 1/2 years old. He came in down wind of a bean field with feeding does at 4:30 and was belly up at 4:40 in a small ditch....I had also rattled about 15 minutes prior.

10/31 - No hunting went to a wedding

11/1 - No morning Hunt / Evening Hunt was extremely slow, saw 1 spike buck at last light...conditions were warm in the mid 60's.

11/2 - Work no hunting

11/3 - Work no hunting

11/4 - We sat from 5:45 until about 8:15 in the morning...sat on a ditch running up out of a bean field hoping to catch them coming from food back to bed...cold conditions, winds W. At 1st light we saw an old mature 9 pointer making a scrape and rubs...came our way when we snort wheezed but wouldn't commit into shot distance, he was about 150". As he walked away we snort wheezed again and a 12 pointer stepped over the hill to investigate...he would go close to 165" but was not the dominant buck as the Old 9 point chased him off and they both went on their way in the opposite direction of us. No deer were within 60 yards during our sit.....Saw another small 8 and 5-6 does, full moon but movement was good right at 1st light....We are going back in to hang stands closer to where the bucks came from for tonight and later hunts.
