Where are we at in the RUT?

Today is November 9th! One of my favorite days to hit the woods. Usually by now the bucks are all over the place searching for available does. I've seen a little of this. In my opinoin it is getting ready to break loose. In some places, I believe it has already started. The prostaff from the Northwest and Northcentral have seen some great movement. Here in the Northeast the movement has been slow. I have hunted 10 hours a day for the last three days, and I saw one three year old buck. My best guess is that the warm temperatures has slowed deer movement. The North winds are bringing cooler temperature the next few days. I strongly believe that this will make the 10th through the 13th the best days of our season. If you have any opportunity, make it happen! Good luck and keep watching Midwest Whitetail Missouri!

Mike Earp said the rut is in full swing down south. As for the North, it looks like the cold temps have kick started things as well. Only two days till gun season and the sea of orange. I'm going out the next two days to try to get one last crack at a buck with my bow. Good luck!
