PRO STAFF REPORT & MORE!

Overall it's been a slow week for the Ohio Pro Staff.

That's definitely not a lead statement that I thought I would be making in November. Unfortunately, warm weather here in Ohio has apparently slowed down the daytime deer movement.  Hey, we have to blame it on something!  Maybe we just made some unlucky stand selections this week. Who knows?

The one thing we do know is that the rut has always been and always will be "Hit & Miss". Those of us who find ourselves in the middle of the action love the rut.  Those of us on the other side of the ridge from the chasing bucks find ourselves brainstorming about where we need to be. This week, for the most part, the Ohio Pro Staff has been brainstorming.

The greatest thing about the rut is that your luck can change at any second.  We know that and we will continue climbing the Muddy treestands and rolling tape until our luck does change.

With cooler temperatures heading our way, we remain optimistic about the remainder of the week in the Buckeye State.  As a matter of fact, my phone has been ringing off the hook this evening with reports of mature bucks chasing does today in Southeast Ohio.

It's not over yet.  The best just might be yet to come!
