I killed a buck on November 14th, despite the warm weather. My normal camera man couldn't make it that day so my friend Bryan Masters siad he'd like to give filming a shot. I've gotta say that for it being his first time behind the camera he did really well, thanks again Bryan. Ok a little about the hunt. We hunted a bedding area on a farm in southern Iowa. The deer filter down to us through a CRP field after leaving the bean field to the north so we hung this set on a pinch point on a ditch that they have to cross to get to bed. When it got daylight there were several deer already working their way to us, including one absolute monster of a buck. After grunting to him several times with no result I decided to rattle. Twenty seconds into my rattling sequence a different buck came crashing in and was standing at 30 yards before I could even react. Deciding that he was a shooter I had to figure out how to put my horns down and pick up my bow without him seeing me! To make a long story short and without giving too much information, we got it done.

Check out the hunt!!!
