220 + inch Hit List Buck Found Dead!

Every year there is one deer that finds its way to the top or your hit list. If you are like me, you can't wait to find a trophy buck that calls your farm home. You dream of a deer that would make anyones jaw drop! One that would pay for your child's tuition.
That deer had merely been a dream for me until summer 09. That is when this giant showed up on a soybean field. I was tagging along with a couple great friends to film some velvet footage when this buck showed up. I couldn't believe my eyes! Even though this was a buck I wouldn't be hunting personally, I felt priveledged even to lay eyes on such a deer!
Going into the season, this was no doubt a marked deer. All game plans revolved around getting a shot at "Non-Typical!" Three encouters and one miss later left us hoping this deer would make it through until next year. That was sadly not to be for this mega giant. My good friend Darin found this buck dead in the middle of one of their late season food plots a couple weeks ago!
