20090424090730114.jpgTim Filiowich, producer of the Minnesota show, took some time from his busy schedule to create this segment for the blog.  Hit this link about Frost Seeding to get tips from John Barsody, owner of Frigid Forage food plot seeds.

John demonstrates frost seeding techniques that we can all apply right now.  In fact, I will be frost seeding a two-acre area with Frigid Forage Pure Clover Blend within the next week myself.  Frost seeding is a very effective way to plant small seeds such as clover. The freezing and thawing of late winter and early spring take the seeds down into the ground the required depth while assuring adequate moisture for maximum germination once the soil temperature starts to warm up.

Follow John's tips and you will be surprised how easy it can be to prepare and grow effective food plots.
