Nikon Monarch X Fall Promo

I have been a Nikon fan ever since I first started carrying a camera, long before the Sport Optics division became a household name.
If you watched Midwest Whitetail last season, you know that Nikon chose our show as one of the places where they showcased their new Monarch X binos. Many of the pro staff bought these binos and used them all season. I used them most of the season too even though I also have a set of EDG binos in my office. The Monarch X was bright enough, sharp enough and rugged enough that I didn't feel that I was taking a step down in using them. In fact, Nikon never actually suggested that I use them. I came to that conclusion on my own.
The Monarch X is all the bino you will ever need for whitetail hunting. In fact, they are perfect. Lightweight, bright and sharp. Yesterday was the first day for Nikon's first big promotion for the Monarch X. You can get $100 from a mail-in rebate if you buy a set of Monarch X between now and October 31. It really is a sweet deal on a great binocular.
I could have used the EDG last season (a high end set of optics) but I used the Monarch X instead. That should tell you something about my thoughts on these great binos.
