Chad Thelen was born and raised in central southern Michigan. He has spent almost his entire 22 year hunting career in Michigan and just recently started hunting in Illinois and Ohio for whitetails.
Chad has spent the last eight years running and building his wildlife habitat consulting and installation business, Stoney Creek Outdoors, throughout the Great Lakes region. Chad is also a realtor with Michigan Whitetail Properties. Being in this type of business has put him on some of the best whitetail properties in Michigan. Back in 2004, Chad started his area's first Quality Deer Management Cooperative and has since helped build approximately 40,000 acres of QDM Co-ops in the Mid-Michigan area. Practicing QDM has helped Chad harvest two 3.5 year old bucks the past two seasons in Michigan.
This year, Chad will be teaming up with his brother Nick Thelen and fellow Realtor, Jerry Slade, owner of The Slade Group, Inc/Michigan Whitetail Properties.
