20100820111618061.jpgJason Christianson is 34 years old and married to his wonderful wife Cara. They have two children, Haley and Hayden. Jason work for Taylor Corporation as a project manager. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, fishing and of course bowhunting.

Jason has been bowhunting for 20 years now. In the last five years, Jason has narrowed his focus to really trying to figure out mature whitetails. He has been fortunate enough to harvest a lot of deer in the past 20 years, but has yet to put a mature buck on the wall. Jason's goal this year is to only shoot bucks that make P&Y or better. He will be hunting with best friend and hunting partner Chris Seidl primarily on private land in Central Minnesota and the S.E. metro. "He and I are both passionate for big whitetails and hunt very similar to one another. We hope to bring some great footage to the show this year."

Jason's 2010 Hit List
(Metro Bucks - hunting with Chris Seidl)

Chris and I will be hunting together but we split our hit lists up this year between two of our properties (see Chris's bio page for the other half of our hit list).  The piece of property we have up here we can't control so there's sometimes pressure from hunting ,atvs, and human traffic.  This year for some reason it has been left alone and we hope to see one of these big boys in the tree!

"Bullwinkle"

This buck is a main frame ten point who is pretty wide and has good tine length. Bullwinkle got his name because of the early June pics we got of him. He literally looked like a small bull moose. His antlers came straight out the side of his head, were slightly palmated and showed no sign of turning up any time soon. He is one of the biggest bucks we have seen on this property in the last 5 years. We have a few trail cam pics of this deer and have videoed him in a nearby field on 3 occasions. We do not believe he is living on the property we hunt but he is living very close by. Due to the fact that we have gotten very few pics of him thus far we are counting on the rut to give us a good chance at this buck. He will be well worth the wait.

"BP"

This buck showed up on trail cam for 3 days straight in early July. We knew he had good potential but after early July he disappeared. Just recently he showed back up on a trail cam on our property. Our thoughts were correct. He has grown into a very nice 10
point with a “Bonus Point” just after his G2 on his right main beam, hence the name “BP.”  As of right now our plan to take this buck is to sit in the area where we have gotten the trail cam pics. He seems to visit the area on a very limited basis so getting a crack at him in the early season is going to be based solely on luck and being in the right place at the right time. If he does not present himself in the early season we are very confident that he will be around during the rut.

"Rocky"

Of the three hit list bucks Rocky is by far the most visible. Rocky got his name simply because of all the time he spends at our mineral rock. We have a multitude of trail cam pics and have filmed him in the nearby field on a couple of occasions. He visits a mineral lick and waterhole on an every other day basis. He shows up at all hours of the day and seems to have no problem with day time activity. He will be our #1 candidate for an early season kill. If we are not presented with a good shot opportunity in the early season we should most definitely get a crack at him come the rut.
