20100827093926826.jpgBen Sansgaard lives in Nevada, Iowa with his wife Shawna and their two children Tyler(8) and Maycin(5). Ben is an electrician with Nikkel and Assoc. and has been working with them for 15 years. When not working Ben and his family are very active in soccer, baseball, football, dance, gymnastics, basketball, golf and horseback riding. If there is any free time left they also enjoy camping and fishing.

Ben grew up as a hardcore waterfowl hunter. His dad started taking him when he was four and Ben hardly ever missed a weekend. Ben shot his first deer and first turkey at age 12. When Ben's son Tyler was born in 2002 he found it was a lot easier to slip out and bow hunt than to take off for the entire weekend duck hunting. That year Ben shot a 130 class  nine pointer and he was hooked. Bow hunting is all Ben thinks about now. He starts the season in the spring combing the woods for shed antlers. In the summer Ben monitors trail cameras and plants food plots to try to locate the bucks he is going to hunt. Once fall hits he is ready to go. Ben does most of his hunting in central and southeast Iowa. Since 2002, he has taken four good bucks, seven turkeys and a black bear with his bow.
