Christopher Smith and Whitney Slade

Chris Smith and Whitney Slade are lucky enough to have grown up in big buck rich Hillsdale County and have learned quality deer management and how to hunt huge whitetails at a verey young age. Whitney is the daughter of Jerry Slade. Chris and Whitney have a July 2012 wedding planned. Chris Smith.JPG

Chris grew up loving the outdoors which gave way to an early start at hunting when he was only 5 years old. He started with rabbits and other small game while quickly working his way up to whitetails. A skipped class or absence from school was never uncommon for Chris when it was hunting season. Chris prefers bow-hunting with his Hoyt over all else. He has just recently started filming his outdoor experiences and looks forward to teaming up with his fiancé, Whitney Slade, to capture some great footage this year.

Whitney Slade.JPGGrowing up a daddy’s girl, Whitney was always close with her father, Jerry Slade (Owner of The Slade Group, Inc./Michigan Whitetail Properties). They began fishing early on and later got a start at going out in the woods together. Whitney has had a love for the outdoors ever since. After moving to a farm on 110 acres, Whitney, along with Jerry and Chris, have started to really have the opportunity to grow and manage some mature whitetails. Although majoring in Exercise Science at Adrian College is very demanding on Whitney’s time, she hopes to be able to get out in the woods a lot this year to film some great hunts with Chris and her father, Jerry.
