Ohio Show
you will witness one of the greatest deer hunting stories I have ever watched on video. It is not just that the buck is so large, we see big deer get shot all the ti
me on TV now. Rather, it is the pure love affair that Damon Detling has with bowhunting Ohio bucks that got to me. I could feel everything I grew up dreaming about coming to the surface in his words and in his reverent, thankful attitude. This really is what bowhunting is all about.
All us at Midwest Whitetail are so proud of what Damon and the rest of the crew in Ohio have been able to accomplish. It is made even more exciting for me, in many ways, because I once interviewed Damon for an article I wrote for North American Whitetail many years ago. Long before I ever met him. That was probably in the mid to late 90s. And now to see his success first hand – when he finally accomplished his dream – that is really something special.
Our camo hats are off Damon and Jason Huntsman for producing what I feel is one of the best deer hunting videos I have ever seen. It captures the true spirit of bowhunting – stripped of all commercialism. It is just pure hunting the way we love it.
