Latest: Old Bully Bucks
Posted By Bill Winke at 11/11/2010 12:00:00 AM

"Methuselah" is an ancient buck that's been on the Yarkosky farm forever.  He's a bully buck and tends to push some of the younger, better bucks off the property.  Drew had an encounter with this buck on Nov. 3rd but decided to save his buck tag knowing that his brother Joe would be home to hunt in 3 days.  On the 6th the brothers headed out and sure enough "Methuselah" showed up.  At first, the buck didn't respond to calling or snort-wheezing but persistence paid off and Joe was finally able to grunt him in. The interesting thing is that shortly after "Methuselah" was gone they started getting pictures of hit list buck "Curly" again. Now the Yarkosky's have a new challenge.

I had a great morning on the 9th.  Saw some good bucks but things just didn't come together.  I am definitely seeing more daylight activity but have yet to see my two biggest hit list bucks.  It's the rut and I'm ready to get aggressive. Make sure you check back on Monday to see what happens.
